Left tackle Bryant McKinnie with vikings jersey was asked to pay back the NFL for his non-participation in the Pro Bowl.
The NFL said Friday it will require a $4,285 reimbursement from Mckinnie for expenses incurred that week in Miami. Mckinnie skipped most of the team practice and obligations, and was then absent from the NFC all-star squad. NFL spokesman Randall Liu also said McKinnie has forfeited his $22,500 game check.
Liu said the league's competition committee will review the matter and determin whether additional action should be taken to deter such conduct at the Pro Bowl in the future.

Magic's reaction
Antawn Jamison will wear the magic jersey through yesterday's trade.
“It doesn’t scare me,” [Rashard] Lewis said. “I’ve been on all star teams as well as him. I think it’s going to come down to who executes better on the defensive end. Most definitely a great player. … At the same time one guy doesn’t win ballgames. They do have another guy called LeBron James(notes) which is going to be our focus.” Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy said the acquisition made the Cavaliers “pretty formidable.”
Van Gundy said they are already the best three point shooting team in the league and they get another guy who can stretch the floor with Shaq inside, LeBron on the perimeter.

Injured All-Star Roy still make the trip to Dallas
Guard Brandon Roy with trail blazers jersey won’t play in the All-Star Game because of his injured hamstring, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally off for the weekend—Roy still will have to travel to Dallas for the weekend’s events.
“It’s just a rule that I have to be there,” Roy told The Oregonian. “But it’s no big deal. For me, I’m just thinking about (what’s best for) the injury and the treatment. But it’s something that the players have to be a part of.”
Likewise, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant would need to make an appearance even if he can’t play because of his sprained left ankle.

Santa Clara to plan the stadium measure
Players with 49ers jerseys may have a new stadium.
On Tuesday night, the Santa Clara City Council is scheduled to discuss language that city staffers describe as a multilayered question asking voters if city leaders should approve the stadium deal. But backers of the proposed $947 million stadium have expressed concerns the language regarding funding is confusing. They hope to get the wording altered before the ballot is made available to city residents. City officials have said the stadium would generate hundreds of jobs and tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue, but critics worry about cost overruns and traffic problems.

Durant is popular
Kevin Durant with No.35 thunder jersey would have a better chance to show his professional if he worked in street clothes.
If only Durant led the Thunder from the sideline, in loe-cut Cole Haans rather than those swooshy sneakers, in a coat and tie rather than his blue-and-orange skiwies. As it stands, his head coach, Scott Brooks, has a better chance of taking home personal hardware than does his precocious superstar.
It would be the coach of the year award, which has a lower threshold for those who win it--the MVP award.

Robinson, strong hand help Knicks
Nate Robinson with No.2 knicks jersey made the chance by playing himself into the starting lineup.
Robinson scored 23 points, Al Harrington and Hughes also put in double figures off the bench, and the New York Knicks beat the Wizards 107-85 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game losing streak. “In the first half we were dead in the water and I didn’t feel like there was any life,” D’Antoni said. “We weren’t giving anyone in the building anything to cheer about. I just thought we needed Nate to show some energy and he did, and the rest of the guys responded really well.”
They kept the energy and kept the pressure on for the most part.

Bosh won't be traded
Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo claimed that he won't trade star power forward Chris Bosh with No.4 raptors jersey.
“The calls are a lot less frequent, and it’s a lot less focused on Bosh,” Colangelo told the Toronto Star. “Everybody starts with, ‘Well, apparently you’re not trading Bosh, so can we talk about so-and-so?’ Our intention is, we’re not going to move him, so we’re not discussing a scenario (that includes Bosh)." Although the Raptors run the risk of not being able to re-sign Bosh when he becomes a free agent this summer, the team has turned its season around after falling to 11-17 at one point in mid-December. Heading into today’s game against the Knicks, Toronto is 25-22 and has moved into a playoff spot in the East.
